Estuaries are dynamic environments where rivers flow into the ocean.
They are most threatened by land development.

–Biotic Factors: algae, mosses, aquatic plants, insects, shrimp, crabs, amphibians, birds, protected refuge for many species

–Abiotic Factors: large fluctuations in salinity, extreme temperature changes,
